For my many friends and family who live there
I can feel past my wallet
almost all the way
to “Five Guys Burgers”
big red letters
not today
maybe payday
The red hand goes up
to say hi,
Don’t cross.
Christmas lights sparkle down
like snowflakes
you can never build a snowman with
much less a fort
A pigeon sits in the traffic light
the big red one on top
Could she make a nest there?
Right in front of everyone?
Maybe. For a while.
