and his wife, Valarie, live between Woodinville, WA and Moon Meadow Lane on San Juan Island depending on what week it is. Being the webmaster for almost 20 brain-injury related associations keeps him busy most days. Nights might find him at a telescope imaging the far fuzzies. His first brush with poetry came at the original Nuyorican Poets Café on E. 6th in New York City in the mid 70s but that’s another story and there’s a whole lot of mileage in between.

was raised in the rural farm town of Winterset, Iowa. In 1963 he majored in art at Bakersfield College. He attended the University of Iowa for a B.A. Degree. At the end of his college years he found his passion for clay. He then taught on Long Island while working on a portfolio of ceramics. In 1972 he graduated from Claremont Graduate School with a M.F.A. under the guidance of Paul Soldner. He taught at Laguna Beach School of Art and the Des Moines Art Center before beginning a thirty-five career at Miami-Dade College. He exhibits locally and nationally. Peter received three Individual Florida Artist Fellowships and a Southern Arts Federation/ Regional Fellowship. He had residencies at Tuscarora Pottery School, Nevada; Sun Valley Arts Center, Idaho; Mendocino Art Center; and Guldagergaard Skaelskor, Denmark. He now works in his studio on Lopez Island, Washington.

's publishing history includes the novels Suisan (1992), Never The Same River Twice (coauthored with James Andrew Freeman, 1994), and her children’s book, Sophie’s Name (1992), which remained in print for 16 years. Also in 1992, One God, Sixteen Houses, an architectural study, was published. She taught writing at Penn State University/Abington Campus and served on the board of the Philadelphia Writers’ Conference for more than 14 years. Her travel essay “Steps Into China’s Culture,” was published in The Philadelphia Inquirer. Other essays have been featured in CWRU Magazine and Main Line Times. She is a longtime resident of Pennsylvania.
