Issue Thirty - Summer 2017

Seventeen years and thirty issues!

As with all literary magazines, before we even went “live” with this issue, we’d begun planning for the next… and the next. We’re exploring some changes for SHARK REEF, and we’ll tell you about them when we have more details. For now, we know we’re saying farewell to co-editor for prose, Jeremiah O’Hagan. He’s brought his discerning eye, appreciation for good writing, and commitment to this effort for ten issues. Additionally, he’s written the opening essay for each of those issues—they are their own works of art. We’ll miss Jeremiah’s teamwork, and we hope he’ll use this freeing up of some time for his own outstanding writing.

And we wish you, our readers, a relaxing summer. We hope the words and images in this issue enrich you in the coming months. As soon as we can, we’ll update you about some exciting possibilities we’re considering for the future of SHARK REEF.
