putting up a budded stick
each swelling
to burst forth
into radiant loveliness

sitting across from you
mulling improbables
of skin full minds
of mind full skin
our senses joined
in a single basket

In your office…
underneath small talk
our shadows commune
silent like sundials
telling time-less tales
of chatter monkeys
and thinking birds

In your office…
we drink each other in
shot glasses and jiggers
of past experience
until all at once we swim
into a moment of
co-incident clarity
